The Department of Computer Science of the University started offering a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science in the year 2000 with an intake capacity of 32. The department sincerely prepares the students both for software industries and higher studies. Model CBCS syllabus is followed for the courses prescribed by Higher Education Department. The courses are designed to emphasize the practical aspects of the subjects to make the students ready for industry. It has a well-equipped computer laboratory, and a modern state-of-the-art smart classroom to cater to the need of the students.

The Department continuously endeavours to have collaborative relationships with other Departments of the University by acting as a trusted partner who can help resolve computer technology-related needs, and responds with innovative solutions supporting the University’s mission of teaching, research, and related services. The Department is planning to offer M.Sc. in Computer Science.
