The Geography Honors program was launched in 1991 under Sambalpur University. The Post-Graduate program in Geography is going to be introduced in 2022. This Department has 16 sanctioned strength of students in Honors, and 24 in Post -Graduation. Currently, the Department has highly motivating, enthusiastic, and dedicated teaching members committed to developing hands-on teaching and research process that intends to capture students’ imagination to breed success. In the last 25 years of its existence as an Undergraduate Department, it has been ascribed to producing quality students spread across the world with different academic and administrative positions. Those notable alumni have brought glory to the department.
