The Department of Education started its historic journey when B.A. program was launched in the year 2017 with Honours under Sambalpur University. Currently, the Department has 48 sanctioned seats from the session 2020-2021 under Rajendra University. The Bachelor of Arts program is being revised under the state model syllabus of the Higher Education Department to meet the expectations of students and stakeholders.

In the last five years of its existence as an Under-Graduate Department, it is credited with eminent scholars as its faculty members who have created a pleasant learning environment to spread knowledge, skill, and education. Within a few years, the Department has produced several deserving students those who have been admitted to different universities in India and successfully carrying out the research.
